2.9 | Investment properties |
Investment properties are properties which are owned or held under a leasehold interest either to earn rental income and/or for capital appreciation.
Investment properties are stated in the balance sheet at cost less accumulated depreciation and impairment losses (Note 2.11). Depreciation is provided over their estimated useful lives on a straight-line basis, after taking into account their estimated residual values. Estimated useful lives of the Groups investment properties are 30-40 years.
