The Company capitalized $1.3 million of interest expense related to properties under construction in 2015. The Company did not capitalize interest expense in 2014 and 2013.

In the fourth quarter of 2015, the Company adopted authoritative accounting guidance on determining whether the host contract in a hybrid financial instrument issued in the form of a share is more akin to debt or to equity on a modified retrospective approach. As a result, the Company recorded an other derivative, which was subject to fair value adjustments during 2015. The Company recorded fair value adjustments of $8.8 million to Other income (expense), net.
